Dance Season ~ Starts September and ends the second week of June. Open enrollment throughout the year. Classes are in session during school vacations. Parents are invited to view their child’s progress the first week of December and May.
Dress Code ~ Dancers must wear shorts and t-shirts/tank top. Hair must be neatly pulled back, off the face and secured. Dance shoes should be ordered through the school to ensure proper fit and style. Dance shoes are to be tied by a parent; socks should be worn with shoes. No gum allowed. Order Forms for shoes, socks and shirts will be available in class.
Attendance ~ Students are expected to attend class on a regular weekly basis. Class starts on time, but occasionally class will end late for the benefit of the dancers. If you need to take your child please see the teacher at the beginning of class. Repeated absences may result in recommendation to change the students’ placement level. If your child chooses to dance competitively, more than one lesson per week is strongly recommended.
Make-Up Policy ~ If your child is absent, we will make sure they are caught up to the rest of the class in the following weeks or you can contact Meghan to schedule a makeup class.
Waiting Room ~ Parents must take full responsibility for children’s’ behavior before and after class periods. No food or drink allowed in waiting areas.
Class Cancellations-Snow Days ~ In the event of inclement weather, please call 203-261-6656, there will be a message on the machine. Snow days will be made up at the end of the semester.
Registration Fee ~ There is a $25.00 registration fee per family.
Tuition ~ Tuition for the full semester is due at the beginning of each semester. There is a family discount for families with three or more dancers. There is no refund of tuition once registered.
Transfers ~ There is a six month retraining period for transfers.
Recital ~ Every student is invited to participate in our end of the year program. The show is usually held at the beginning of June. See photos from our most recent recital!
